Transforming Learning and Workforce Development in the Mid-Ohio Valley

At present, our region has 155,000 0-15 year olds born and ready to enter the workforce by the year 2040. We also have 278,000 employees aged 50-64 preparing to exit the workforce in the same window of time.

This gap highlights the urgency of our timeline and the critical need for coordinated educational and talent development strategies to prepare our region’s workforce for the future.

WHAT IS A LEARNING ECOSYSTEM?
Our learning ecosystem is an interconnected web of service providers that support learning, growth and development for our community.

Think of early childhood and childcare providers, K-12 schools, career centers, colleges and universities, credentialing programs, libraries, museums, cultural centers, and more.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
What began as a data-driven study to inform WSCO’s strategic plan has grown into something even greater.

Rather than each learning organization in our community working in a silo, Workforce30 seeks to tie each of us together to form a Community-wide Learning Master Plan for the Mid-Ohio Valley.
HOW WILL WE USE THIS PLAN?
The Mid-Ohio Valley Learning Master Plan will serve as a community roadmap for the next 30 years of workforce development.

By connecting leaders and learners of our ecosystem, Workforce30 will be the centerpoint of partnerships, programming and pathways to develop our workforce and our economy.
